■Y/N POV■

The bird is chirping, I just woke up and realize that Tooru is not by my side on the bed. Just then a voice is calling me, and I look back. Tooru is already awake and just finished taking a shower. He's currently wearing his shirt while looking out the window, his back facing me.

Oikawa: get up beautiful, we're going to visit the place that we used to visit before. 

I nod at him and get up from the bed. I took a quick shower and walk back to the bedroom to put on light make-up, then I head downstairs where Tooru has already joined with his family on the dining table. When I enter the dining room, everyone looks at me and smiles warmly. There's Tooru's father, we didn't see him last night because he's already asleep. Tooru's father smiles at me.

Oikawa's Father: good morning Y/N, how are you?

Y/N: good morning (Oikawa father) san, I'm doing fine, how about you?

We talk together in the dining room before Tooru's mother came with breakfast. We eat together and chat along.

Takeru: so where are you guys going? you're quite early during weekdays and already took a shower too.

Oikawa: well, we're going to go on a date, to places that we used to come to.

Oikawa's sister: well, that sounds fun. Tooru hasn't been back for five years and Y/N hasn't visit Miyagi too, it'll be fun to check on it together.

■3rd Person POV■

Oikawa and Y/N finish their breakfast and excuse themselves. they walk through the neighborhood and sometimes they met their old neighbor on the way. They visit a lot of places like one of the cafes they used to hang in, the local park, the book store, and the bakery that sells Oikawa's favorite Milk bread.

They spend the day strolling around. And before they decided to go back home, they visit one more place. Their old school, Aoba Johsai. Thankfully it's open because some clubs have activities on Saturday. 

Oikawa and Y/N head to the volleyball gym, the sounds of the ball hitting the ground could be heard. They walk in the gym and some of Seijo's volleyball member sees them. They stop whatever they're doing and making the fuss as they saw one of their best alumni, and Argentina's starting setter.

Irihata: Oikawa? L/N? what are you two doing in Miyagi?

Y/N: Coach Irihata, it's been a while. Tooru is currently vacating in Japan, he'll go back to Argentina next week, so we decided to visit Miyagi and stop by here.

Irihata: I can see that the two of you are still together, hahaha that's great, when will you tie the knot huh?

Y/N face turns red at Irihata coach's words. Oikawa places his arm on Y/N's shoulder and grins at his former coach.

Oikawa: it'll eventually happen, so just wait for the invitation coach..

Irihata: hahaha, well I'll be looking forward to it... anyway because you are here, what about giving your junior a quick lesson or a sharing session with Mr. Argentina's Volleyball player?

With that Oikawa gives his junior a lesson and gives them some advice. He shows them how he does his serve and tosses. Y/N and coach Irihata are watching from the sideline and talk. They're there for an hour before they decided to excuse themselves.

Their juniors are thanking them, it's a great experience to have been in the same hall with a professional player. Coach Irihata thank them too and Oikawa hugs his former coach before he left the gym.

When they're heading to the gate, Y'N sees a vending machine in the empty hallway. This place brought back memories to Y/N.

Y/N: Tooru... do you remember this hallway?

Oikawa: how could I forget? this hallway is a witness of my effort to get you after all.

~Flashback~

10 years ago, Oikawa and Y/N are just becoming 3rd years. Ever since they're in 2nd years, Oikawa has been trying to get Y/N to be his girlfriend, but she always rejects him. Oikawa likes Y/N as a girl since they graduated from Kitagawa Daichi.

When he first gets in Aoba Johsai, many girls keep on fawning on him, but they didn't know about his flaws. Y/N on the other hand, know him very well just like Iwaizumi. That time Oikawa realize that Y/N is the girl that he needs, but he didn't spit it right away. 

In their 2nd years, Oikawa and Iwaizumi are walking to their practice, when they spotted Y/N is inside a classroom with a boy from her class. That boy was confessing to her. When he sees this, Oikawa's body moved on its own and barged into the classroom.

He grabs Y/N hand and pulls her out of the classroom with him. He got a good smack behind his head from Iwaizumi, and a nice scolding. That day Oikawa realizes that he doesn't want Y/N to be taken by another guy.

The day after, he confesses his feeling and started to ask her out. Y/N keep on rejecting him, but he didn't give up. He keeps on doing it for months and even Iwaizumi got annoyed by it. GBF/N is cheering for him because she knew something, Y/N actually likes Oikawa back, but she's debating whether she should accept him and changes their friendship or let things just the way it is, but after hearing, Iwaizumi tells her how Oikawa keep on talking about her when there's just the two of them, she's wavering. 

And then one day when Y/N walks to the gym to wait for Oikawa and Iwaizumi, she heard Oikawa's voice. It seems like a girl was confessing to him, It's a normal thing for Oikawa Tooru to get a confession every single day. Y/N could feel that her heart is aching at the sight of Oikawa with another girl, but Oikawa's answer lit her up.

Oikawa: I'm sorry, but I'm in love with someone else... she's the only one that I want, and I'm currently still trying to get her to accept me, so please root for me.

Oikawa said that to one of his fangirls, making the fangirl run away from him. On the other hand, Y/N's heart is warmed by Oikawa's words. When Oikawa is walking back to the gym, he saw Y/N and approaches her. They walk together to the gym, but then Oikawa stopped by a vending machine to get a drink. Y/N watches Oikawa's figure from behind him, at that moment she has finally decided to answer his feelings with her own.

Y/N: Tooru...

Oikawa looks back at his childhood friend, his crush, the girl that he loves. Y/N looks down at her feet but then turns her gaze to Oikawa's eyes. Oikawa was startled to see the light in her eyes as she stares at him.

Oikawa: Y/N what is it?

Y/N: Tooru.... uh.... do you still, no.... do you want to go out with me?

Oikawa's eyes are widened when he heard Y/N said that. He has been asking her that question for months, but she keeps rejecting him. He even thought that Y/N didn't see him that way and about to gives up. But today, that girl that she's been chasing is saying the exact same question that he asks her for god knows how many times. Oikawa Can't keep his mouth from smiling widely as he answers the question.

Oikawa: yes, please... Obviously, I want to

That day Oikawa finally got the girl that he loves

~End of flashback~

■Oikawa's POV■

How am I supposed to forget that day, I've chased after her for months and she finally said that she wants to go out with me. I actually want to do this somewhere else, but  I'm overwhelmed by the feelings I got from this place. I reach in my pocket and pull a small box out.

Oikawa: Y/N...

Y/N averts her gaze from that hallway and looks at me. She's startled as I held a familiar wooden box. I open the box and show her our rings from years ago. yes, I kept our promise rings. The day Y/N left the ring I keep on holding to the thought that one day I'll return it to her.

Y/N: Tooru?

Oikawa: Y/N please, let me put this promise ring on your hand once again... and please put the other one on mine...

Y/N is quiet, her mouth is slightly agape.

Oikawa: I... I'm going to leave you again next week, but I'll definitely come back to you... at least knowing that this ring is back to its rightful owner will make me feel at ease... 

I take her hand and put the ring on her ring finger, Y/N looks into my eyes and I return my gaze to her.

Oikawa: I... the next time I come back... I'll make you mine... officially, completely... so please accept this promise ring back.

Y/N eyes are teary, she nods her head and covers her crying face with her hands. I pull her in for an embrace.

Oikawa: really Y/N, thank you for taking me back... thank you for letting me have you... I love you so much

Y/N: I love you too Tooru...

After that, we return to y parents' house and spend our last night in Miyagi with my family. One day, I'll make  Y/N as part of this family, officially.
